IT Broadband prepare to launch 'DID' Service in Shanghai
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SHANGHAI, CHINA — JANUARY 15, 2004 — IT Broadband (ITBN) have successfully completed the test phase for their DID service in Shanghai. DID ("direct inward dialing") is a feature of telephone networks allowing every office telephone to be reached via a direct line number -- obsoleting the need to dial an extention. Whilst being common in the west, this service has not been generally available in China.
ITBN is commited to providing an increasing range of western services in China. Starting 1 February 2004, in conjunction with China's Railcom, IT Broadband will begin to offer DID service to the metropolitan Shanghai area. Other major metrolpolitan areas around China are expected to follow later in the year.
